The Sorg will have an Open House on Saturday Sept. 14 from 10 am to 6 pm as part of the statewide “Ohio Open Doors” event. Whether you’ve never visited the historic Sorg Opera House, haven’t been in years, or have come to concerts but want to see behind the scenes, this is your chance to come in and check out the theater, backstage and balcony. You’ll be able to listen to an audio tour, take selfies in the box seats and ask volunteers about the theater’s history and ongoing renovations, just days after the 133rd anniversary of the Sorg’s opening night.

Through the state, visitors can discover Ohio’s amazing heritage Friday, Sept. 6, through Sunday, Sept. 15, as historic buildings and fascinating places across the state open their doors for tours and events as part of the Ohio History Connection’s annual event.
